This week, the Pope is in my country, Brazil, for the World Youth Day 2013. I think he should also preach about Equality and respect! The Bible says: God is love! And the Bible shows in many parts that each person is equally part of God’s plan of creation:

“But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean” (Acts 10:28).

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34)

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself – There is no other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:31)

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28)

“So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality” (Acts 10:34)

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:16-17)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Matthew 5:43-45)

7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
