Cherish with the Bodybuilders

When I first thought about my version to Cherish, it crossed on my mind the idea of to use one of the beautiful beaches of my country, Brazil. However, I’m saving a beach for another song 🙂 Then I remembered of mermaids, strenght, inocence, cherish…and came the idea of to do it on the gym. I tried to simulate the moviment of the mermaids doing exercises for my back part of my leg 🙂

It was everything unexpected: I arrived on the gym where I used to train in my hometown, Fortaleza, and asked to some bodybuiders to be part of my video. Hours of negotiation until convince them that this video should be to help me to meet Madonna 🙂

I so thank the owner of the Gym Podium Club, Páscoa, and his sweet wife, Aldenora, who gave me authorization to record on their gym. A big and extra special thank to my team of “mermaids”: the bodybuilders Carlos Elpidio (Mutante), Sonia Auzier, Heraclito Passos Filho and the cameraman Junior Castro.

Madonna, dear, at this time I bring 4 winners of my most recent sweepstakes to you. The first one is Juliana Farias. The Brazilian Girl from Rio de Janeiro won Sticky and Sweet Tour CD/DVD. She left one message of support:

The next fan who won another CD of mine, my just acquired Girl Gone Wild Single (ahhhhhhhh), was Beto Maya, from the city of Goiânia, also in Brazil! Beto sent me really nice words 🙂

Nothing Really Matters…Elisabete Hayashi won my Give Me All Your Luvin’ Single


Elisabete Hayashi (yes, Brazilian-Japanese girl) also from São Paulo won my ahhhhhh recent acquired Give Me All Your Luvin’ Single… She also left her message 🙂

Cassia is gonna direct a documentary about Madonna, Fans and Love! She won my MDNA Deluxe CD ahhhhhh

And finally we can talk a little bit about Cassia Soares. She is so crazy for Madonna (as I was a normal one…) that is going to make a documentary about the love of the fans and all the craziness (sane craziness of course) that her fans do for her 🙂 She won ahhhhhhhhh my MDNA Deluxe CD plus an exclusive poster. Actually Paul Sebie had won this prize, but gave me it back to give to a fan who I thought that could deserve it – so I did with Cassia 🙂 Our future director has also left one message of support:

Turn Up the Radio in Amsterdam (until the speakers BLOW)!

This video was the most difficult ever that I made. First of all because during the last 3 months I was training like a crazy one the choreography on my bike in the streets. But I thought: now that I live in Amsterdam, I need to learn how to bike in a good way. Secondly,  because I did not sleep the last week to make it: I worked on more than 1,000 pieces of footage and drove my computer crazy. And,  I broke my camera 😦 Hope that the guarantee still covers it to have a new one.

I have recorded this video last Sunday (May 20th) and spent all the week editing it. The bad thing (but also good) is that I’ve started a new job here in Amsterdam (hope I don’t lose it because of this project as well) and I could edit it only during the night.
It was a dream and also nightmare because the only night that I slept was last night 🙂 But all the efforts, all the jobs, all the nights were valid.

I feel so happy with this video that I’m typing this crying – everything was perfect,  even the maddening crowd who got even madder with me interfering their manifestation. But I replied them: “Listen – I’m also making my manifestation to meet Madonna”.  One girl,  in a really upset mood, replied me: “You are a liar – I don’t believe in you”. Then check my video little girl, I’m making everything to meet Madonna, with a lot of jobs, with a lot of passion, with all my heart. And I LOVE THIS SONG. IT SHOULD BE MY DREAM COMING TRUE BEING PART OF THIS VIDEO!

Madonna, I’ve learned to dance (well, I’m not a dancer), to ride the bike without holding the handlebars, I got rain, sun, but I am still shining because of you. Please! I just wanna meet you and be part of your next video! Don’t forget: I’m gonna attend SIX concerts – the first ones in Amsterdam – July 07th and 8th and also in Brussels,  London…and would love to go to Brazil (my hometown) as well,  but I’m still paying off my tickets to Europe 🙂

Madonna,my birthday is tomorrow, May 29th; my biggest gift should be to meet Y-O-U!

Gang Bang in a Favela

I was quite reluctant to make a video in a professional editing way (40 hours of uninterrupted editing for this one- I need to sleep). With my previous videos, I would like to show the reaction of the people with my “addicted to MDNA” unexpected behavior. However, when I went to Rio, I got a lot of nice, unexpected and addicted footage that I should make a nice complete video. Plus, Gang Bag doesn’t have a video yet (Madonna, I can be part of it, plz) – so in this way I felt free to create my story.

First of all, it was terrible to smoke (blargh!). I’m extremely allergic to cigarettes – if you see the video, you’ll find out that I don’t know even how to handle a cigarette. But Gang Bang without smoke of a bitch is not Gang Bang! I also got amazed with the cooperation of the people of the favela.

I lived in Rio between 2005 and 2006. At that time, I never had the courage to go to a favela – because it was too dangerous. Now this context has changed! I’ve decided to go to the 2 favelas (which are assembled together) in Ipanema and Copacabana: Canta Galo (Cock sings) and Pavão Pavãozinho (Peacock – Little Peacock). The favelas, or communities as the habitants call it, had a “pacification” process established by the government with the help of police and Brazilian army recently. Drugs and violence are NO LONGER synonyms (as you probably had seen on City of God movie) for those privileged places with one of the most beautiful panoramas in Rio de Janeiro.

When I went there I understood their meaning of community. It is cooperation! Everybody helped me: from the owner of the chickens, the man who held up Madonna’s poster, the children, the lady who danced with me, to the woman who lent me her broom.

Poverty is also a state of mind! I never saw so much happiness as I did in this day!
I just want to meet Madonna and be part of Gang Bang or Turn Up The Radio videos 🙂

Like a Prayer at the feet of the Christ!

I must tell you that my eighth video on my journey to meet the Queen is a miraculous one. Three weeks ago I went to Rio de Janeiro (with support of my friends) only to record videos to my campaign to meet Madonna. I flew on the delta flyer,  I made a video in a Favela (Gang Bang),  another one on Ipanema Beach and this one at the feet of Christ – The Redeemer.Recently the statue was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Then I met Mrs. Eva Sagnudo, my angel. She is a 78 years old woman from Porto Alegre (Madonna is going to do a concert there in December), in Brazil. Firstly, I’ve asked her granddaughter to be guest on my video. She refused it and Eva came saying: “I’m 78 years old but my soul is younger than hers”. She added: “I believe in you! You will meet Madonna and you’ll also bring me to her concert in Porto Alegre”. She had also given her cell phone to me “just in case of any help”,  like a real sweet grandma. I kept her phone but thought “how could I ask her help if I live in Amsterdam and she in Porto Alegre? She had already made a lot”. Thanks God and the Christ this woman gave me her phone.

When I arrived at home,  I don’t know how I formatted my card and lost all my videos on the Christ. I got desperate because after Eva joining me ALL the people who were on the Christ came behind me and started to clap their hands as they were being my choir. It was so beautiful!

I’m catholic and I believe in the Father, Son, the Holy Ghost and Holy Mary. At this moment, I thought that God was punishing me for having made a video in front of the statue. But I also thought: ” I was just having fun and celebrating the life”. Then I called Eva and asked her if her granddaughter hadn’t record a video as well and for my LUCK,  she did. It did not get the Christ and the interaction of people afterwards,  but it was perfect. Her daughter sent it to me via Skype and finally I made the editing. Thanks GOD and Thanks Christ! Thanks also to my Director (and back vocal) Daniel Cassus (@dcassus) – be ready for our version of Gang Bang!

Eva is 25 years older than Madonna and has a lot of life and energy. Ageism comes from old souls! Now,  take this prayer:

In Everywhere I Go: TV, Newspapers and Universities!

I must tell all of you that even knowing that @miaura came to this world to shine, I never thought that she could already be able to give TV interviews. Miaura was (full of joy, style and grace) one of the drag queen guests of the program Ação e Reação (Action and Reaction) from Brazilian TV Diário. My drag queen cat even sang there. Isn’t it unbelievable? Well, she is not a conventional cat…Before to come back to Amsterdam, I had a real marathon of TV Interviews: 3 with TV Diário, one with TV FGF (the TV from the University Grande Fortaleza) and the most recent one to the program Amaury Jr. Show on Rede TV (actually who gave the interview on my name was Fábio Freire from the amazing Brazilian Fan Club Estilo Madonna). But I am not having only support from TV. Folha.com, one of the biggest Internet Portals in Brazil, also made an article talking about my journey. The writer @tonygoes called me “the new web celebrity”. Tony, I just want to meet Madonna and be part of her next videoclip!

After Press, I’m also having support from the academic environment.  At the time that I was in Brazil (last month) I gave lectures to the main Universities of my town – The Federal University of Ceará (Universidade Federal do Ceará – UFC) and University of Fortaleza (Universidade de Fortaleza – Unifor). For both Universities I gave lectures about Viral Marketing and also asked the support of the students on my campaign to meet Madonna.

The Winners Are…

The winners of my last 2 sweepstakes were Cristina Hervé (@crisherve), from Porto Alegre (Brazil), and Paul Sebie (@SDdiverPaul), from San Diego, United States. Cristina won my Celebration CD and Paul, MDNA Deluxe Version, plus an exclusive poster. They both answered correctly which songs I should perform on my last videoclips: Express Yourself and Ray of Light.

I’ve already shipped Cristina’s CD from Amsterdam (as those from the first winners) and Paul have decide to don’t accept the prize. WHAT? Well, he said that saw on Icon Boards (the official Madonna fan club) that I was unemployed – for a little while (long story – I lost my last job also because this project) – and wrote me this follow message:

Paul gave me back his prize: MDNA Deluxe and an exclusive poster!

Awe, that’s super sweet of you. I love the video! Great timing for the flight & song. 🙂 But I cannot in good conscience have someone who just lost their job, spend the money to send a CD & poster to the other side of the world. I was teaching SCUBA in Thailand for a few years, I know what it costs to send things that far by post. Especially a CD I already own… I just wouldn’t feel right. So, I propose a compromise. Why don’t you take the CD & poster out to a club with you? When Madonna is played, find a random person in the crowd & give them the CD & poster. Or let the DJ gives them away. You are very creative,  I’m sure you can find someone local. When you do meet Madonna, you get an autograph for me too and I’ll pay the post!  Again,that is super sweet,thank you.

I must confess that I got surprised and also touched with what Paul wrote me. Thanks guy. For sure I can get one autograph of Madonna if I can do it, with pleasure. Be ready for what I am going to do with your prize 🙂

Love Letter to Madonna – You are my Ray of Light

I think that everything we make with our heart is the best that we can do. Two weeks ago I went to Rio ESPECIALLY to make this video (and other ones, including  amazing postcards of the city and even one in a favela). I got joy,  collaboration,  warmth and hope from the people who supported me. One of those was Ronaldo, my delta flyer instructor. He taught me to don’t be nervous, to “work” instead of to have the pleasure of flying (although I “worked” enjoying what I was doing).

I must confess that I got scared. I’d never flown in my life. I did not train anything (I could not pay twice the flight – plus the weather was changing rapidly). But everything was perfect in that day: I was the last one to fly – afterwards the sky closed and started to rain. Plus; my flight duration was exactly the duration of Ray of Light. In the sky I felt like an angel, I felt freedom in an indescribable way. And the view!!! OMG Rio (for me) is the most wonderful city in this world – because it has natural beauty. Christ,  the Redeemer,  on the top of “Corcovado” was also blessing my flight and my love message to Madonna.

I have just one thing to tell all of you about this video: at the end I cried – cried because I felt blessed for the family that I have, for the love that I have, for the friend that I have, for the cats that I have (actually I have 2 – Heinz and Miaura – her girlfriend). Happy because I have a ray of light in my heart. Hope you can feel half of the joy that I felt:
